Back in my college days, I had friends who would always give different mixed drinks a try. Usually these drinks were mixed slushies, if we are being honest. Anyway, I’ve been looking into ways to make dinner around my house a little bit more interesting, and I’ve decided to start making my own drinks at home for my husband and i. we both really love flavor, and my cooking tends to be either Italian or Mexican, so with those two, we actually have a lot of complimentary flavors to choose from. Hopefully, these drinks will make things a little more interesting, as some of them are a bit crazy.
Best Non Alcoholic Cocktails
- Mixed fruit smoothie
- 1 Cup Coconut Milk
- 1 Cup mixed frozen fruit of your choice
- 1 ripe Banana
- ½ Orange
Blend the ingredients together in your blender, pout into a cup, and enjoy!
This is delicious for two reasons: It is healthy, and it’s fruity. The fruit flavors blend together to make a sweet, frozen cocktail of yumminess, while the coconut milk adds just a hint of coconut flavor to the mix. The frozen fruits keep the smoothie thick and the banana makes it creamy and smooth.
- Blackberry, Elderberry Spritzer w/ Mint
- 1 Liter of chilled soda water
- ½ Cup chilled elderberry flower syrup
- 1 juiced lime
- 1/3 Cup washed blackberries
- Bruised Mint Leaves
Whish soda water, elderberry syrup and lime together, stir in blackberries with the mint leaves, serve immediately!
Can you say yummy? This mix is DE-lish! The sweetness of the syrup blends fantastically with the soda water, mint and blackberries to give you a burst of light, fresh flavor. It is a great option for brunch, barbeques, and baby showers.
- Bubbly Berry Blend
- 1 Cup berries
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Cup Soda Water
Add all but soda water to blender and combine until smooth. Add Soda water and pulse until blended. If your berries are frozen, you can add it all at once.
This sweet little blend is sure to make your taste buds dance with pure happiness. If you’re looking for a delicious blended berry drink, look no further as this combination of lemon, honey and berries only gets even more delicious when it sparkles.
Thankfully, there are plenty more options available to accompany my dinner or yours. You can even make the first one as a breakfast smoothie, it is pretty filling. The best thing about drinks is that you can pretty much mix anything together. I had a friend who would mix Dr. Pepper with Pepsi and a squirt of fruit punch then put it all into a mug of Mountain dew. He swore by this drink and, really, after he would drink it, he seemed to have more energy than a three year old on a sugar high- Just in case you don’t have kids, that is A LOT of energy!!
